About Fattoria di Montemaggio

Situated in the heart of Chianti Classico, Fattoria di Montemaggio’s vineyards are planted on steep slopes between 450 and 600 meters, with a rich diversity of soils ranging from galestro to limestone.

The high altitude and significant diurnal temperature variation contribute to the bright acidity and refined tannins in their Sangiovese-based wines. Montemaggio is known for producing elegant, structured Chianti Classico with notes of red fruit, earth, and spice, as well as excellent aging potential.

The estate practices organic farming and employs biodynamic principles to enhance the vitality of the soil and vines. Their commitment to low-intervention winemaking ensures that the wines are a pure expression of the terroir, with minimal manipulation in the cellar.
