About Franz Gojer Glögglhof

Franz Gojer’s Glögglhof estate, situated on the steep slopes of the Eisack Valley in Alto Adige, is renowned for its distinct interpretations of Schiava and Pinot Noir. The vineyards, planted primarily in sandy, porphyritic soils, are at altitudes ranging from 300 to 500 meters.

This unique terroir, along with the Mediterranean influence and cold alpine winds, produces wines with an excellent balance of fruit intensity and refreshing acidity. Gojer is particularly celebrated for his old-vine Schiava, which offers delicate floral and red fruit aromas with an underlying mineral complexity.

His Pinot Noirs are elegant and refined, often compared to Burgundy in their finesse. The estate practices organic farming, with a strong focus on low-intervention vinification to preserve the natural character of the grapes.
